QUICK START TROOP REGISTRATION for 2009-2010:
3 Steps to Successful Registration!
1. USE THE NEW FORMS: ALL forms are new — if you
have any from last year, throw them away! (Unfortunately, they cannot
be recycled, since they have “carbon” copies.)
2.
FORMS: This is what your should return
in your registration packet. Please PRESS HARD on the forms — Your
troop leader needs to read the bottom copy!
Each GIRL must return to the troop registrar:
• Girl Registration Form (return
top TWO copies to SU registrar; troop keeps pink bottom copy)
— DOWNLOAD Girl Registration PDF; return TWO copies to SU registrar; troop keeps third copy
• $12 membership fee
• (do not turn in to SU Registrar): Girl Health History Form —
This form should be filled out by registrants, but is KEPT by
the troop for troop use

This form should be filled out by registrants, but is KEPT by
the troop for troop use

Each ADULT must return to the troop registrar:
• Adult Registration Form (return
top TWO copies to SU registrar; troop keeps pink bottom copy)

• $12 membership fee
• IF the adult volunteer will have any contact with the girls
(driver, helper, etc.) s/he also needs to go through the Volunteer Screening

3. LEADER or TROOP REGISTRAR needs to:
• FILL OUT the Troop
Registration & Family Partnership Worksheet (return
top TWO copies; troop keeps pink bottom copy)

• FILL OUT the Troop Membership Dues Summary (return
top TWO copies; troop keeps pink bottom copy)

• DEPOSIT CHECKS using
the form provided (return pink copy and white receipt; troop

RETURN YOUR PACKET to your REGISTRAR — do
NOT send it to Council!!

NAMES, NUMBERS & CODES
Please use these new codes:
• 636 = COUNCIL CODE for Girl Scouts of Northern California
• 345 = SERVICE UNIT/REGISTRATION AREA for Marin del Centro
Service Unit (formerly Marin del Centro Association)
• TROOP NUMBERS: all troop numbers in the Marin del
Centro Service Unit should be five digits and start with a “3”.
ADULT
REGISTRATION FORMS:
Assign a ”Position Code.” If you
don’t, they’ll be assigned
as a 14 (adult).
• 01 = Leader
• 02 = Assistant Leader
• 03 = Committee Member (registrar, cookie chair, etc.)
• 14 = Adult (this is the default)
Family Partnership: If there are any contributions to the Family
Partnership campaign, they should be included on the GIRL Registration Form,
not the Adult Form (unless there is no girl registering at the same time)
MONEY & CHECK
DEPOSITS:
DEPOSIT all checks at Wells Fargo.
Put your TROOP NUMBER on the deposit slip.
Make sure you get a pink or yellow STAMPED deposit slip AND a white cash register receipt from the teller. Include both (stamped deposit slip and white receipt) with your registration packet.
CHECK for credit card charges and donations!

- Individual pages can be printed as needed
- TROOP RETAINS the Troop Driver Information Form ONLY
- SEND all other forms and supporting documents (including photocopies of CDL
and insurance information) to:

or put in a separate envelope (for confidentiality) and return with your packet;
the Marin del Centro registrar can forward it to Council.
